Vision is the most powerful ability we have. It is the strongest sensory function. We have about eleven million sensory receptors and about ten million are associated with our vision. So knowing that, vision, what we see, is the strongest of influences. We should redirect our attention to other things.
If you’re married or in a committed relationship, stop looking at other people in a sexual manner. If you’re trying to lose weight, take a different route home so you don’t see the McDonald’s on the way. What you see is what you get. It will guide your interpretation of the world and what your place in it is. The things you consistently see will influence what you do.
Visualization is extremely powerful. The reason companies spend millions of dollars marketing to us. Why don’t casinos have any windows, so you don’t realize the time and leave. The reason online porn is or can be very addicting. How we can walk around the mall and want what we see in the window, even though before we saw it we did not need or want it. Our vision is the leader in our influences.
If you want to change your life, change what you see in front of you. Stop watching the news if you’re becoming scared or radical. Stop looking at the people on social media who have things you don’t. Change your friends, who you connect with at your job and most importantly of all, how you see yourself.
