Here's a question - how can a billionaire want more?
What else is there to prove? Why not go home and spend time with your family? Who they claim they are doing all of this for.
I've spent many years in the finance space and I met many who aspire for supreme wealth. But I never had a good explanation. The most logical is generational wealth. I still feel unless its rooted at something bigger, its pointless.
For instance, the billionaires that sign a giving pledge, so that in their life or upon their death most if not all their wealth goes to philanthropic work.
These men and women have it figured out. I am still baffled how a billionaire doesn’t just want to go home and spend time with ll kids.
What is all that wealth for? Why did you work so hard?
Can anyone help provide context here?
Some don't consider it work. It's in their blood. The thought of taking their fortune and fishing or golfing until they die is unfathomable. Yes, spend time with family, that is for sure a goal. But many are driven by the need to see if something lofty or seemingly impossible can be done. Or the need to prove they can bring a vision to fruition. It may not necessarily be to see more zeroes pile up in their bank account, but that is the result of putting in that kind of work.
