What's Your Rush?
Look around. Everyone is in a rush to get somewhere or to do something. If you look hard enough that person may be you. Racing by other cars to get where you have to go. And in some cases you rush to just sit in traffic.
You want to rush the process on the goals you have. Becoming a millionaire, writing a book, losing weight and so much more. We are being instructed that this is the way. Podcasts, YouTube videos giving us three secrets… to the latest thing. And you don’t realize that that is just the algorithm. There are dozens of ways, hundreds to get there.
There is enjoyment in the process of doing something. That may be wealth building, a creative project or a change to your health. It doesn’t happen overnight. In fact results that last rarely come overnight. They eventually come to you over time. By you, putting in the time and effort to get there.
The obsession is instant gratification. Our weakness is our inability to wait.
Imagine paying off debt fore five years before you start building wealth.
Imagine working on a book for five years before it can be published.
Imagine working out five days per week for two years to get in the best shape of your life.
What comes fast won’t last. What is earned the hard, long way has life. The results will be here to stay. More importantly, you are forever changed by it.
