Well That Was Dumb
Just because someone likes something doesn’t mean you should. Also it doesn’t mean you should have an opinion.
Just because someone likes something doesn’t mean you should. Also it doesn’t mean you should have an opinion.
I have a friend, who made a financial move that is dumb. No, it’s not my biased opinion. It actually was a dumb choice and move, putting him at risk, high risk. But that is his choice and he did not ask my opinion. No, he isn’t required to. It’s his money not mine. However, had he asked, I would have told him.
To love a friend properly you must be willing to allow them to make a choice and learn from. This can be in relationships, in family issues, in work or money. There is no chance that he will recover from this. But, personal finance is personal. Despite my knowledge, my own experience and my ability to help others, he is still in control of his own life.
This year I have made conscious efforts to be supportive, unless I’m asked my opinion. At that point, I will share it. Just because I wouldn’t do something doesn’t mean you shouldn’t. Just because you did doesn’t mean I will.
