We Have Enough Money, We Just Waste It

This idea that we don’t have enough money or that “everything” is expensive is wrong. Many of us make enough money or have enough money. We just simply waste too much of it.
Who cares about the latest gadget, sneakers or fashion trend that is impossible to keep up with. Will any of that matter when you die? Will the status you are trying to achieve or chase matter when you’re on your deathbed? When you are about to die, are you going to think about the sneakers you did not buy or the brunch you did not have?
If you answer yes, you’re a loser and you need to find more meaningful things in your life. Yes, money is meant to be enjoyed. Money is also meant to be used for a greater good. Like building wealth that can be passed down to your children and hopefully their children, your grandchildren. The purpose of money is to use it as a tool for other things to enrich the lives of others. We’ve already talked about leaving an inheritance to your children and grandchildren. What about the homeless person at the corner that looks cold and hungry? Money is meant to be used for giving, not just consumption.
You can eat at the finest restaurants, take the finest trips and that means nothing. You may think you’re successful. But a true financial success is the lives you impact because of your success. The people you help, the communities you restore and build and the difference you make.
There is nothing wrong with buying the things you want. However, remember that is only one small fraction of the impact money truly has.
To have and make money is a responsibility that should not be taken lightly. Be sure that you spend, invest, give, save, and enjoy money responsibly.
STOP wasting money on things that don’t matter. On the things that do nothing to enrich your life. Yes they may enrich your Sunday or Friday night, but how many Friday nights have you lived through? How many more will you have? Use money beyond the moment.
