Tiny Delights, Over Big Bright Lights
What some of you may consider a short blog post today, the message is powerful.
In Shane Parrish’s new book Clear Thinking: Turning Ordinary Moments into Extraordinary Results he writes the following:
“What we consider defining moments, like promotions or a new house, matter less to life satisfaction than the accumulation of tiny moments that didn’t seem to matter at the time. In the end, everyday moments matter more than big prizes. Tiny delights over big bright lights.”
That time with your kids, on the couch eating chips and watching a movie. Over the week in Disney. A night in with your partner instead of a wild drunk night downtown. Coffee with a dear friend. A walk with your mom or dad. Ordinary moments that will live within you longer and will mean more. And since you’ve been warned, now you’re aware and can act accordingly.
Don’t chase the big bright lights with there are tiny delights to pick up all around you. Live, here and now.

Thought Provoking Questions : What can you move slower on to gain momentum later?
Daily I write and release a daily meditation. A quick read. Sharing wisdom and asking thought-provoking questions. Influenced by the obstacles, success and failures in my life and of others. Using history, books, current events, philosophy, and ancient wisdom. These writings are actionable, thought-provoking, designed to make your life better.
These writings are not to push a way of thinking on the reader or to force you into a certain philosophy or methodology. Rather to give you practical and real ways to handle life. This is an added tool. My writing is simply a discussion, a discourse, with all the material I read, watch, hear and consume.
