We cannot let the bad news convice us that there isnt't any good. We cannot let the news take away our ability to be good people. To not let those assholes turn us into assholes.
Gandhi. Martin Luther King, Jr. The Civil Rights movements. The Suffragettes. And many more, have seen and experienced the worst of people. But, they did not lose faith or hope.
They were all forward thinking - the big picture. There is goodness out there despite who's in charge. Regardless who's being nominated and confirmed by the Senate. So, we too must keep the big picture in mind. We must not lost faith or hope that good will beat evil. It may not happen overnight, but it will happen. It starts with us however. Day-to-day, in our approach and handling of others.
By demonstrating the goodness you wish to see in the world, we slowly restructure the world to be what it must.
It does not mean it isn't scary. That we won't have doubts. NO. We will and that is a good sign. So many before us had more reasons to give up and they kept at it. So should we.
What's your excuse?
