The Show
The Show
It's quite easy, tempting even. Everyone else does it, why not me, you may ask. Well, it's all a show. The person that actually is doing something meaningful, true to who they are, doesn't have time for "the show." You know, social media.
For example; new parents, someone studying for their CPA or bar exam or someone staying up many nights with an invention or on their business idea. They don't have time to participate or contribute to the highlight reals.
When we are dedicated, committed to something - we do not have that in mind, we barely remember to eat or wash ourselves. We
get lost doing it. The work, making progress is the real
'flex' and what we focus on.
Each of us were created and we're here for something and it
certainly is not to brag or show off anything in the material world. "I've never seen someone’s net worth on their tombstone," says Bill Perkins.Â
So, what is it all for? Not the money. Not the fame. Not for the brag or flex. But to know that we tried some really hard shit and we're making progress at it. Something we did not think we could do or anyone else for that matter. But, you are - making progress.
That, is the real show.
