The Right Environment Matters
In professional sports a team can be bad for a long time. Players come and go. New coach after new coach comes in and tries to turn things around.
You would expect these elites to get it together. Afterall, they get paid millions of dollars. They’re celebrities with extreme talent. They play for your favorite sports team or the team you hate. You might even expect the coaches to do better. They get paid well, they’re in charge and many coaches used to be former players themselves.
Then all of sudden this one coach comes in. A few new players come in. And the team shifts. They gain momentum. They start winning games and doing better than in years past. The team has some of the same players as before, when they sucked. What changed? Was it the coach? The added players?
The environment changed. The coach is in a new environment and so too are the players. You would think making millions of dollars is enough to get these coaches and athletes to do well. But it’s not.
For all of us, it’s the same. Environment is everything. The right help. The right co-workers. The right time. The right place. It all comes alive when the environment is right. Don’t blame yourself for it all. Things are just not in order yet. Keep going. Keep trying. Keep investing in yourself. If a sports team invest millions into their teams and millions more to get better, what’s your excuse? By the way, you don’t need millions of dollars. You are afterall, the best investment you can make.
Thought Provoking Questions : What is missing from your environment?
Daily I write and release a daily meditation. A quick read. Sharing wisdom and asking thought-provoking questions. Influenced by the obstacles, success and failures in my life and of others. Using history, books, current events, philosophy, and ancient wisdom. These writings are actionable, thought-provoking, designed to make your life better.
These writings are not to push a way of thinking on the reader or to force you into a certain philosophy or methodology. Rather to give you practical and real ways to handle life. This is an added tool. My writing is simply a discussion, a discourse, with all the material I read, watch, hear and consume.
