I love education. However, when we sit and think about what we learned from kindergarten through high school, most of it is useless. Maybe I’m just talking on my own behalf. Outside of reading, writing, typing, math and a language other than English, there is almost nothing I remember of my time in school. While those are the most useful classes to participate in, I have limited experiences to reflect on. In college, I studied to be an accountant. So that I can see to an extent why education mattered.
Regardless, in life I learned more than in any level of education, including college. I learned how to be a real accountant in my first accounting job. Going to college did open up the world for me.
I believe and hold to a high regard that life is the best teacher. Experience is the best way to learn, anything. Education is a life long practice. It doesn’t end when you leave high school or college. If you want a good life than learning should be at the center of it.
