In April showers come. May, brings flowers. But, what if the flowers don’t come? What if there is no bloom?
I like what James Clear wrote recently in his 3-2-1 newsletter that comes out weekly. Truthfully, I enjoy many of his thoughts. He wrote, "not everything blooms in spring. Your season might be autumn. Keep going."
To keep going, being resilient is a skill, a character trait many miss today. Speaking with a teacher recently, his name was Chris, he told me this very thing. "Our profession is suffering, we need teachers badly. People don't want to stick with something long enough,"Chris told me.
We are used to the speedy results. The instant gratification. I have another friend in real estate, her name is Geena and she shared the same thought with me. COVID brought in so many new realtors, and most of them left the industry, when the going got tough. When real work was required.
Look at anyone successful in any field or industry, It took work. It was hard. They did not expect instant success as that just does not happen. So, maybe you aren't blooming right now. Keep going. Give it more time. Season yourself a bit.
As my favorite bible verse reads, "no discipline is enjoyable while it is happening - its painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained this way." Hebrews 12:11
That very bible verse keeps or has kept me going, many times.
Keep going.
