I hated reading most of my life. In college I was forced to read to learn the material. Even then, I learned I wasn’t a good reader. I read slowly, my words would blend together and my dyslexia would alter the words on the page.
Today however, I love reading and I read at a much faster pace. I can understand what I read the first time and don’t have to re-read for clarity. My dyslexia still acts up from time to time but I learned how to maintain it.
The best part about reading, the beauty, is learning something. For the reader, for us, it’s easy and that is what the author intended. However, for the author it came at great difficulty.
Reading is beautiful. You can learn easily what someone else learned with great difficulty. This is why you should read.
