THAT, Has Nothing To Do with It

It all has to be measured. Money. Likes, Views. The stock market performance or the ball game. There has to be a clear winner, some one at the top of the class or the GOAT. Data, has become the new prized asset for corporations and the algorithm.

Yet, our journey, our direction has nothing to do with that. Daily we face real, consequential decisions. The results, the score, our performance can not be measured. There is no immediate feedback. Regardless, the results don't actually matter. In some cases.

We were all placed here, right where we are , to just figure it out. Being distracted by the tallies or the ticker tape is just procrastinating on what matters.

The lives we face and live day-to-day. What truly matters is how we live, how we work, love, and serve others. Numbers, data, are all human made anyway with the obsession we have to measure everything. To make all things quantifiable.

You cannot measure heart. Work ethic. Courage. Smarts.

Grit. Discipline. and many more.

THAT, is all imaginary, and yet, we all strive to hit a number. Process over results. Behavior over outcomes.
