In his latest book, Ed Mylett writes on the benefits and ultimately The Power of One More. The results that come from us pushing ourselves. Even past the point when we are satisfied.
This can apply to your whole life as he covers various facets of it. For instance, in your marriage what is One More thing you can do to feed into it and allow it to grow? Is that making your partner or spouse coffee each morning? Saying thank you when they do the dishes or pick up the grocery order.
In business, what would happen if you made one more presentation, phone call or attend one more event to meet new people, and ultimately, clients.
Now, a balance should be reached. You cannot be all about business or all about fun. Just as the personal trainer pushes you to do one more. The mindset is pushing yourself, past the limit you think you can reach, in order to create a new limit. A new ceiling. A new challenge that converts to a new comfort zone. All it takes is one more.
Ed proves a point as a result of one more. You change. Your identity changes. You become a person that after repetition and some time, will consistently perform better. Not just in business, your work or with money. But in the areas of life that matter, to you. In the end, you get to decide what one more is and where to apply it.
Thought Provoking Question 1 : What is One More thing you can do today, this week, this month and next, and this year to get you closer to the life you want?
