Maybe we've grown to comfortable complaining. Worse is the competition of complaints between people or in groups, where each new complaint has to be bigger than the last. One says they're tired, the next says they're exhausted. One complains about the cold and the next complains of the state as a whole.
We complain over nonsense. It gets worse when we sense any form of discomfort or the slightest hint that work and effort are needed.
But think of our military personnel. First responders. Whistle-blowers. Journalist. Or in its more banal form, a sports team going up against a strong offense or defense. There is no complaining. A way, a resolution or solution is created. Men and women simply adapt and keep pace forward.
The obstacle is the way, as one of my favorite books is titled. Don't complain about the obstacle in front of you. Use it for its valuable lesson within.
