Maybe, you're like me. Thinking of every possible thing that could go or be wrong. Meditating in advance of the unfortunate. It can happen. But what if things go the way you want? Or, what if it goes better than you expect?
That can also happen. More often we all catastrophize than we are optimistic. It's all cognitive. Even when the worst possible outcome isn't even likely to happen.
If these thoughts and forces exist for the worst then they exist for the opposite - the best. I find myself telling others after hearing about their negative potential outcome (that is purely imagined) “or it won’t happen like that at all.”
Too often they are a deer, stuck without a thought, as the lights of a fresh and new positive perspective comes their way. We have no clue how anything will go. The good or the bad. So why bother thinking about it more than we should? Why only think of the worst case and not the best? Both are likely outcomes and so are all the different variants of those outcomes.
This is purely a reminder to process your thoughts wisely.
