Best-selling author, Daniel Pink shared a social media post (see it below). In it he outlines Frank Sinatra had 1,200 songs with 209 of them being hits; that's 17%. Babe Ruth hit 714 homeruns out of 8,399 attempts; that is 8.5% of a homerun happening. Pablo Picasso made over 150,000 pieces of art with 1,170 of them being hits. That is 0.7%.
What made them great was their effort. That when a hit made it, it was due to their previously failed attempts. These masters are labeled such by how they transcended their sport or art. They kept showing up in the studio or on the field.
Each failed attempt meant getting closer to a hit.
Remember this when you want to give up.
