We must all learn how to do this. Reinvention. It's the rebound after an injury. The new SOP's we create for our team after a costly mistake. It's what we do when we drop the ball. When we fall short on a promise or under-deliver.
It's the way Tiger Woods reinvented himself after his fall from grace. It's what Freddy Roman did - being a well known and respected antique furniture restorer, and reinventing
himself into the commercial construction space. Freddy went from being self-employed to working for an organization, (Freddy is my older brother) •
We must continue the journey. Regardless if we win or lose.
If we get tired of something or if we simply want to try something new. We cannot get comfortable with success or let failure paralyze us.
Reinvention is about consistent growth, improvement and redefining who you are - over time. It is a commitment to progress, not results. Because we know the good life, the life we want is about progress; not arriving. The individual
pursuit of being and getting better. And, learning new skills and information that influence how we contribute in to the world and, how others benefit from that.
Reinvention is not just in business or sports. It's after the divorce, after you get fired or your whole department is eliminated. It's the way you pick up the broken pieces of your life and re-assemble them. It's what you do after you get denied for the promotion or job, or, the funding you were hoping to get. Reinvention is in some way, how we handle procrastination.
