Waiting for it to happen, we've already lost.
Motivation.
Inspiration.
The discipline we seek.
For the most part we know what to do or what needs our action, that's the easy part. Where it gets hard is in the action required, daily. In the face of us wanting to or not, being in the mood or not.
The obstacle isn't whether we should eat better, workout, leave a job, save the money, sell our home or buy one. It's meal prepping and stopping the take out food orders. It's going out in the cold for a walk instead of being on a warm couch, watching TV. For the job, its the benefits or 401k contributions that make it hard to leave. When it comes to money it’s the adjustments to your life style or the reality that you're just living a fantasy. The decision to sell your home because you can't afford it.
We now what to do, what needs to be done. But, we procrastinate and we do so for (INSERT WORD HERE).
Action gives us motivation.
Action gives us inspiration.
Action gives us the discipline we seek.
"Inspiration is for amateurs. The rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightening to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself."-Chuck Close
