The pain is unbearable. It stirs up and creates a deep rooted discontent. Morphing itself into hatred, resentment. What we speak of is envy - it's toxic and procrastinating can give birth to it. WE blame others for our own delay, inaction, lack of progress or disadvantages. WE create a narrative from the emotion of envy based on the success of others and then compare it to our own. Along they way they must have had help, or they cheated their way or slept their way to the top.
Envy turns us cynical, nihilistic even. So then why try at all? It's pointless. The loop and psychological toll, just continues the catalyst of what got us here - procrastination.
It's their fault we don't succeed or start or progress.
Despite all of this we can change it, all of it. First, by believing in ourselves and what we're capable of. Second, having good work ethic. This is a great support system for the first point. Third, ignoring, with effort, those you envy or use them as added inspiration to support the second point. And lastly, focus your attention and gaze only on what you control.
Laziness, procrastination and a lack of discipline leads to more envy.
