However it wasn’t until John wrote his second book that he became a household name. “The Firm” became an instant best seller. Once readers got their hands on “The Firm” they went back to buy his first book. “The Firm” did so well that it was turned into a movie where Tom Cruise played the lead.
It takes time to reach the level of success that you want. Imagine writing a book and it finally gets released 4 years later. In addition, it doesn’t sell as well as you want.
You control your own destiny. John Grisham kept writing. Today, he is known as one of the best fiction authors. A connection can be made between John Grisham and us.
We too control our own destiny. We too can change what the future looks like by WHAT we do today. So, keep writing. Keep painting or drawing. Do not stop taking pictures and playing with the camera settings. Find your look. Find your voice. Do not let your first release decide if you stop or quit.
