Working sales many years ago this was shared at a company conference. You know those annual meetings. All expenses paid and they sit you in a room to drink the company kool aid? Yeah, those. Well it worked.
This is a lesson of showing up, like Seth Godin says.
The lion must wake up each day ready to outrun the gazelle or it will go hungry. The gazelle must outrun the lion or its breakfast. It’s do or die for both. There is only one job for both. When the sun comes up, you better be running.
What are you running towards? What are you pursuing or hunting? If you are not hunting anything, how long can you survive that? New job or career? Starting a business? Writing that book or creating that painting?
What should you be running from? What should you be avoiding? How long can you survive those bad habits? Bad relationships or friendships? Being lazy or procrastinating? Drugs?
It’s your life. The real world is the wild, the wilderness. Be the lion. Be the gazelle. Wake up each day, early, and run!
