Life can be hard at times. A spouse who cheats on you. Defiant and rebellious kids. Working for a boss who sucks. Living paycheck to paycheck. Being late for work. Sitting in traffic. Dealing with customers that are never happy. And so much more.
Anger and rage build up inside of you. Anxiety is born and lives outside of you.
When dealing with or managing things that you hate, dislike or wish you did not have to, remind yourself…
“I won’t die from this.”
Why this reminder? Because of all the bullshit we have to face each day, none of it kills us. Instead, think of it as all this bullshit is preparing you for the next level of bullshit you must face.
When you feel anxious, nervous, etc., remind yourself none of this will kill you. As the saying goes, if it hasn’t killed me yet it’s making me stronger.
When you get into a fight with your partner/spouse, kids or stranger that cuts you in line at the grocery store. Remind yourself, I won’t die from this.
All of these things are just part of nature, human nature. Meaning, they happen naturally, without our consent. So we must prepare our minds to deal with it all.
I won’t die from this.
As a reminder that you should look for professional help if you feel you need it. From someone qualified that can help give you the tools to manage with the things you face in life. This blog entry is not a replacement for therapy and I am not a mental health professional. This is simply what I do to help me. Today’s blog entry, any in the past or the future is in no way advice for someone that needs a mental health professional. Or anyone with suicidal thoughts or thoughts of acts of violence towards others.
